Role at Cawthron
Anna is a marine ecologist within Cawthron’s Restoration Ecology Team (under the ‘Healthy Oceans’ Group), with over ten years of research and consultancy experience. Her specialties include the ecology of coastal soft sediment, estuarine vegetation and rocky reef habitats including seaweeds. She also has expertise in water quality and is interested in climate change impacts and mitigation/adaption opportunities.
She has been involved in various government-funded research programs, particularly those relating to estuaries and aquaculture. Additionally, Anna conducts work for local government and a variety of commercial clients, including monitoring and environmental impact assessments for aquaculture, ports and outfalls as well as estuary and reef monitoring.
